Warranty

RETURNS

  • All Returns must be made within 90 days of the date of purchase.
  • The original invoice must accompany all returns.
  • Parts must be returned in the same condition, complete, and undamaged.
  • All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • Refunds on cuts and other non-standard or custom prepped parts are subject to a 30% labor charge.
  • All cores must be drained of fluids and complete as sold in order to obtain credit.
  • Deposits or pre-paid special order parts are non-refundable.
  • All Returns are for in-store credit. Credit memos expire one year from the date of return.

PRICE ADJUSTMENTS

  • All requests for price adjustments must be made within 10 days of the original invoice date.
  • Price adjustments will not exceed 50% of the original purchase price.
  • The part for which a price adjustment is being requested needs to be in returnable condition.
  • St. James Auto & Truck Parts may require documentation or photos of the damage as justification of any price adjustment.
  • All price adjustments are for in-store credit. Credit memos expire one year from the date of issuance.

Warranty Information

Warranties are as Follows (All Parts are sold with a standard 90 Day Parts Warranty)

Parts Only

  • Silver Warranty: 1 Year Parts Warranty (or 25K Miles)
  • Gold Warranty: 2 Year Parts Warranty (or 50K Miles)

Parts & Labor

  • Silver+ Warranty: 1 Year Parts & Labor Warranty (or 50k Miles)
  • Gold+ Warranty: 2 Year Parts & Labor Warranty (or 75K Miles)

Lifetime

  • Platinum: Unlimited Miles!  As long as you own the car, we will stand behind it.  This is a Parts Only Warranty!  This is a 1 time use only (as long as you own the vehicle)!

Labor Only

  • Labor: We will cover the labor on the part for the warranty sold!  Purchase this on our standard 90 day or repurchase it if needed!

(These rates are on a fixed Labor Rate of $60 per Hour)

There is NO Labor Cap!  Our labor times are based off of ShopKey Pro. These rates are based on a fixed Labor Rate of $60 a Hour.

The original invoice must accompany any claim for warranty

If you encounter an issue, contact your Sales Representative BEFORE you remove the part from your vehicle.  If there is a mechanical issue, we will only warranty the part if we are notified BEFORE you repair or remove it.  We hold the right to refuse the warranty claim due to mis-installation or mis-diagnoses.  We also hold the right to send a inspector for any Diagnosing.

Our warranty is only good for STOCK Applications!  If your vehicle has been modified in any way then the warranty is VOID.  All our products are for STOCK Applications unless noted otherwise on our invoice.

Regarding engines, accessories such as alternators, starters, water pump, intake and exhaust manifolds, fuel injectors, carburetor, flywheel, brackets, oil pressure switches, thermostats, smog emission devices, turbos, high pressure oil pumps, injector pumps, and timing belts are complimentary and do not necessarily come with the engine. These parts are also not covered under the St. James Auto & Truck Parts Warranty limited warranty, and we do not guarantee interchangeability of these items. At the time of installation, and in order to maintain coverage under the warranty, it is required that the installer will do the Following:

Reman Drivetrain

  1. This warranty is covered by the Reman Manufacturing Company.  Please follow the instructions/guidelines that are needed by the Reman Company.

Engines

  1. Install a New Thermostat & Water Pump
  2. Change Oil and Filter Prior to Starting
  3. Replace Timing Belt
  4. Flush and Check Radiator Flow
  5. Install New Oil Seals and Gaskets where Necessary (oil leaks are not covered under warranty)
  6. Keep Invoices for the Parts Purchased
  7. Retain all Service and Maintenance Records
  8. Change Oil Cooler
  9. Change Turbo's as Needed ( Turbos are not covered under our warranty)
  10. Change/Flush Fuel Systems as Needed ( Fuel system's are not covered under our warranty).   If the Fuel System has been contaminated from the old engine, then a full fuel system flush must be done! (Flush or Replace: Fuel Lines, Fuel Coolers, and Tank must be cleaned or replaced.)

Transmissions

  1. Replace all External Seals
  2. Replace Filter and Fluid
  3. Flush Transmission Cooling System Including the Lines and Cooler
  4. Properly Seat Torque Converter on an Automatic Transmission
  5. All Transmission must be taken to Dealer to be flashed.  Failure to provide dealer receipt will void our warranty

Axle / Suspension

  1. Replace all Brakes (We do not warranty brakes.  Always install new brakes or use any of your customers old brake components)
  2. Replace all Seals
  3. Replace Ball Joints as Necessary
  4. We do not guarantee Wiring or Emergency Brake Cables.  Replace ours with yours as you know yours functions properly.

Compressors

  1. A new Receiver Dryer and Orifice are Installed (The Invoice for these parts are required for warranty coverage).

Buyer agrees that St. James Auto & Truck Parts will not be responsible for:

  1. Incidental or Consequential Damage
  2. Lost Profits, Sales, or Income
  3. Injury to Person or Property
  4. Oil, Antifreeze, or other Substances
  5. Towing Charges, Storage fees, Substitute Transportation, Lodging etc.
  6. Labor on a Gasket Kit, Oil Pump, Fuel Systems, or any other Accessories Purchased with the Engine.
  • Parts and Labor warranties are available for additional cost and will be indicated on your invoice. Labor claims will be paid based on the ShopKey Pro Labor Guide at a rate of $60.00 per hour. Labor warranties are limited to the lesser of the purchase price of the component or $500.00.
  • St. James Auto & Truck Parts reserves the right to provide warranty repair at a facility of its choice.
  • The warranty term is based on the original purchase date.

Sheetmetal / Body Parts

  • Unless otherwise noted on your invoice all Sheetmetal and body parts carry a life-time corrosion or manufacture defect replacement warranty.
  • The original invoice must accompany any claim for warranty.
  • The defective part must be returned to St. James Auto & Truck Parts for replacement.

Our Warranty does not cover the following items:

  • The purchaser's loss of time, inconvenience, Loss of use of the vehicle, towing expense, installation expense, commercial loss, rental cars, or other consequential damages.
  • On driveline components fluids, gaskets, seals, filters, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, clutches, water/fuel pumps, wiring, thermostats, sensors, hoses, belts, frost plugs, spark plugs, and injectors are not guaranteed.
  • Claims that result from accident, abuse, neglect, alteration, improper maintenance, or improper installation.
  • Claims that result from the failure of other existing components.
  • Claims that result from overheating due to cooling system failure.
  • Parts installed in vehicles used for commercial, racing, or off-road purposes, or parts used for any purpose other that the original application.
  • All warranties are for the original purchaser only. Warranties are not transferable.
